It depends on where you live. If you’re in Europe or the UK, I recommend Schwarzkopf. Their dyes don’t last for terribly long, but it’s inexpensive and the colours are pretty. Buy a purple dye from Special FX to apply over the Schwarzkopf after about a week.

DIRECTIONS IN VIOLET! It is the BEST bright purple dye ever. And if you want something darker use directions plum. When i dyed my hair purple i left it on for an hour and when it faded it went to a really nice lilac colour (the voilet dye).
