My response was to the image itself. It is a perfect example of how way too many atheists treat people of faith. The original post is only representative of a small portion of people of faith, which is exactly my point. Condescension is disrespectful. The second a person mentions that they believe in some form of one or more higher powers, more often than not, an atheist will jump to all sorts of conclusions. I am sick to death of being laughed at and being treated like a child with my head in the ground. The original post makes no indication whatsoever that it’s addressing only the ‘misguided’ portion of people of faith. It’s making a sweeping generalisation about both parties. It may not be an ‘attack’ on religious people, but it’s definitely an insult to our intelligence.

yeah, admittedly i appreciate an atheist who says to me, “I don’t believe anything created this. I’m an atheist. I respect that you believe in a greater being.” unfortunately, i’ve only met 2 atheists like that. its called respect, people. :/
